Joan T. Czubernat (née Malek) died Jan. 20, 2025, at the age of 81.
She was the beloved mother of Ronald, Lynn (Michael) Rubio, Joseph (Alicia), and Jennifer Joachim. She was a loving grandmother to Ashley (Jonathan) Cobos, Taylor Calabrese (Dan), Zachary (Arianna), Gillian, Anthony, Anna, Sarah, Kylee, Zarek, Don (Mia), Dakoda, and Dajia, and a cherished great-grandmother to Daniel, Charlotte, Jaden, Alaina, Nolan, Rylan, and Mikolaj.
She was the dear sister of Daniel (Rita) Suchecki and the late Felicia (Robert) Witkiewicz. She was a fond aunt to Deborah, Robert, Michael, Lisa, Joel, and Daniel.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Richard-Midway Funeral Home, 5749 Archer Ave., Chicago. A funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Faustina Kowalska Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
