
Louis “Gino” Di Crescenzo, born in Guardiagrele, Italy, on November 7, 1950, passed away surrounded by his family in Chicago on December 24, 2024. He was 74 years old.
Gino was a loving husband to Maria and a devoted father to Paul, Louis Jr. (Lottie), Anthony (Veronica), and Stephanie (Vishal). He cherished his role as Nonno to his grandchildren, Louis, Amelia, Lottie, Leia, and Sienna.
The son of the late Antonio and Filomena Di Crescenzo, Gino is survived by his siblings, Carmela, Antonietta, Giovanna, Giuliana, Nick, and Maria. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Known for his passion for history, politics, geography, classical music, poetry, and soccer, Gino left behind a rich legacy of storytelling. A true foodie, he could often be found exploring the Chicagoland area’s diverse local establishments. His warmth, wisdom, and zest for life had an immeasurable impact on his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Summit, Ill. Family and friends are invited to gather at 1:45 p.m. at Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church, for a 2 p.m. Mass.
Gino will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain a cherished treasure to all who knew him.
