Ronald Olszewski, a devoted family man and longtime resident of Chicago’s Clearing community, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at LaGrange Hospital. He was 84 years old.
Ronald was the beloved husband of Elaine (née Mrozek) Olszewski. He was a loving father to Michael (Kellie), Gary (Renee), and Richard Olszewski. Ronald was a cherished grandfather to Stephanie (Daniel) Russell, Alex Parker, Alexandra (Vasil) Vasillev, and the late Elyssa Olszewski, and a proud great-grandfather to Sebastian and Evelyn Vasillev and Maeve Russell.
He was the fond brother of the late Georgene (Peter) Pribyl and the late Estelle (James) Pogwizd, and the brother-in-law of Richard and Carol Mrozek, Geraldine (the late John) Zielinski, and the late John (Linda) Mrozek. Ronald was also a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Summit, IL. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday, December 14, from 10:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 12 noon, followed by a procession to St. Faustina Kowalska Parish for a 12:30 p.m. Mass. Ronald will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery Community Mausoleum.
Ronald’s love for his family and the joy he brought to their lives will be deeply missed. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
