Richards graduate Sebastion Castro, a defensive back at Iowa, was named college football’s No. 1 nickel/slot corner by biggameboomer.com. He was ranked 92nd in the nation in the EA College 25 rankings.
Teammate Leshon Williams, who also played at Richards, is on the Doak Walker Award watch list.
- St. Laurence assistant boys basketball coach Jim Tracy was inducted into the National High School Basketball Coaches Association Court of Honor.
- De La Salle will name its main gym court in honor of former coach Jerry Tokars on Dec. 6.
