
A 15-year-old was charged last week with two felony counts involving carjackings, police said.
The teen was arrested by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force on March 19 in the 3300 block of West 79th Street.
He was identified as an offender who participated in taking a vehicle at gunpoint from a 50-year-old man on January 20 at 4:48 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Kenton in the 8th District. He is also charged in connection to the armed vehicular hijacking of a 40-year-old man that occurred just over an hour later in the 4400 block of West 77th Place, also in the 8th District.
The teen was charged with vehicular hijacking and aggravated use of a firearm.
