Lawrence E. Stanek, 102

Lawrence E. Stanek, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and longtime lithographer, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at his home in Palos Heights. He was 102.

Stanek was the beloved husband of the late Ann and the loving father of Joanne Stanek. He was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Stanek and the dear brother of the late Richard, Ray and Roy Stanek. He was also a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

For more than 40 years, Stanek worked as a lithographer, dedicating his career to the craft of printing.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 11 a.m. at Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th St., Crestwood. A Mass followed at 11:30 a.m. at St. Alexander Church, 7025 W. 126th St., Palos Heights. Interment took place at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 S. Archer Ave., Justice.
