Rosa Zamora, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known for her intelligence, generosity, and lively spirit, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 13, 2025. She was 73.
Zamora was the cherished wife of the late Jesus Zamora Sr. and a devoted mother to Enrique (Sonia) Aguirre, Adan Aguirre, Jesus Jr. (Vanessa) Zamora, and Julian Zamora. She was a loving grandmother to Angel Aguirre, Jasmine Aguirre, Joshua Aguirre, Adrian Aguirre, and Sophia Aguirre, and a proud great-grandmother to Ariel Aguirre.
She was a dear sister to Jose (Eva) Briseño, Laura (Donaciano) Guzman, Maria Briseño, Carolina (Mike) Avila, Jesus (Marie) Briseño, and George Briseño. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Alicia (the late Jesus) Ortega.
Zamora was admired for her elegance, style, and unwavering devotion to her family. She instilled the values of honesty, hard work, loyalty, and kindness in her children, and those who knew her fondly remembered her warmth and wisdom.
Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., with a celebration of life service at 7:30 p.m.
