
Irene Yore (née Weber), 94, a former longtime resident of Palos Heights, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Yore. She was a loving sister to Ferdinand (Betty), Frank (the late Jan), and the late Rose (the late Don) and Nick (the late Dolores). Yore was also a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Irene cherished her Evergreen Park neighbors and shared a special bond with her devoted friend Mary Rose, who provided invaluable support in her later years.
A retired Catholic and Chicago Public Schools teacher, Yore was deeply involved at Most Holy Redeemer Church, where she sang in the choir. She loved her cats and took great joy in working in her yard.
Visitation took place on Dec. 28 at Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th St., Crestwood. The interment of ashes will occur at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.In lieu of flowers, donations to PAWS (www.paws.org) would be greatly appreciated.
