Palos Heights aldermen last week approved contracts advancing improvements at the municipal pool.
Alderman Jefry Key motioned for approval of a letter of agreement with the American Institute of Architects between Williams Architect and the City of Palos Heights for the pool improvement project.
Since first proposing pool improvements in 2019, aldermen have approved purchasing designs, materials, freight, and installation labor supervision for a new waterslide for $137,532.00 and approving a payment of $5,471.77 to William Architects for schematic (structural, plumbing, and electrical) design and development.
In other news, the city approved buying a new city clock for $26,322 from Verdin Bells & Clocks, to replace the clock that was wrecked by a recent car accident.
Additionally, aldermen approved building plans for purchasing a spacesaver shelving from Bradford Systems Corporation in the amount of $5,130 for building projects and record retention.
The next scheduled Palos Heights city council meeting is Tuesday, April 2.
