Cervantinos Authentic Mexican Restaurant #2, 12778 S. Harlem Ave., Palos Height, opened on March 5.

When choosing a location for his second business location, Luis Garcia knew he wanted it to be Palos Heights.
“I absolutely love it here,” Luis Garcia, of Oak Forest and the owner and chef of Cervantinos Authentic Mexican Restaurant #2, said. “It’s a great area, nice clientele and I’m happy to be a part of the neighborhood.”
Garcia opened the doors to his second location at 12778 S. Harlem Ave. in Palos Heights, on March 5.

The restaurant features a large menu of delicious items from jalapeno dip and chips, to chicken wings, to tacos, Mexican pizza, salads and bowls, tostadas, soups, desserts, breakfast items, full dinner plates and so much more.
Cervantinos will also be opening up in Homer Glen soon, hence the #2 in the Palos Heights’ name. Garcia is planning on opening another location in Homewood this year, as well, putting his passion into what he knows and loves most, cooking.
“I have been cooking for many, many years,” Garcia said. “It’s something I really enjoy and I bring that to work with me every day. Here at Cervantinos, we offer traditional and vegan food options. There truly is something for everyone.”
That is obvious based on the quality of Garcia’s food at his restaurant and Palos Heights city officials could not be happier to have them in the community.
“It is so great to see the continued investment along our business district,” Palos Heights Mayor Bob Straz said.
Cervantinos Authentic Mexican Restaurant #2 is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
