Argo High School hosted its annual Hocus Pocus Fall Fest on Friday, Oct. 25, coinciding with the last home varsity football game for the Argo Argonauts. The event, held at the Argo Track Field from 4 to 6:30 p.m., drew a large crowd of students and community members eager to enjoy a festive atmosphere.

The Fall Fest featured an array of activities, including food tables, a DJ, a petting zoo, a car show, and various inflatables like a maze and obstacle course. Attendees could also enjoy two bounce houses, performances by stilt walkers, flame throwers, jugglers, face painting, a balloon artist, and the mesmerizing acts of a magician and hypnotist.

“It was wild,” exclaimed one student, reflecting on their experience with the hypnotist. “I could feel myself starting to dream!”

Numerous clubs participated, offering games with prizes, food in exchange for tickets, and unique fundraising opportunities like the chance to “pie a teacher” with whipped cream-filled plates—much to the delight of students.

Nicole Wasko, Argo’s assistant principal of student experiences and community engagement, expressed her satisfaction with this year’s turnout.

“I’m very pleased with the way Fall Fest turned out this year.  Each year we try to make it a little bit bigger and better.  We had to skip last year due to the construction going on with the new building, so we wanted to make sure we got it going again with even more to offer the community. This is one of my favorite events because it brings everyone together, the community, families, teachers, and their families.  The clubs here at Argo get to showcase themselves to the community, it’s a great event for everyone. This was by far the most attended Fall Fest we have ever had!  We hope we can continue to keep growing it every year.”

Overall, the Fall Fest was a resounding success, bringing the community together for an evening filled with laughter, joy, and an Argonaut win to close out Senior Night.
