Peter Dutkanych, 78, of Palos Hills, has passed away.
He was the beloved husband of Karen (nee Klotz); loving stepfather of Chris Kawa; loving grandfather of Tiffani and Michael; dearest brother of Carol O’Neal; the late Gene and Rich Dutkanych.
He was a longtime member of Teamsters Local 710.
Funeral services were held at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills. Interment was private.

ISRAEL GARCIA
Israel Garcia, age 88, from Chicago, Chicago Lawn community, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of the late Esther (nee Duran); loving father of Sanjuana (Francisco) Arenas, Juan (Nancy) Garcia, Esther (Marcin) Gacek and the late Israel (Carletta) Garcia; dearest grandfather of Christopher (Cindy) Garcia, Krystina Garcia, Ariel Arenas, Alex Arenas, Robert Garcia, Savana Garcia and the late Johnathan Garcia; proud great grandfather of Oliver Garcia and Joseph Wiser. Israel will be remembered by his many brothers and sister and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held September 2 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held September 3 at the funeral home until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to St. Blasé Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Israel will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
EVELYN E. KAJDAS
Evelyn E. Kajdas graced this earth for 95 years, passed away peacefully at home the morning of September 1, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Kajdas Sr.; devoted mother of Leo (Shirley) and Michael Kajdas; loving sister of Marlene (late Don) Parker and the late Rudy (late Stella) Eder; dear cousin to Luise (late Walter) Schwind and other loved family members.
Visitation was held September 5 until time of Celebration of Life Service at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Procession from the funeral home to Resurrection Cemetery where Evelyn was laid to rest next to her husband and mother.
RICHARD S. MCKAY
Richard S. McKay, 87, of Oak Lawn, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Richard is survived by his dear sister, Brigid McKay, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret McKay, and brothers and sisters Mae Foss, Eleanor, (James) Redmond, Kitty McKay, Marguerite “Peg” (Dr. James) Canavan, Ann (Bill) Beilfuss, Bernadette L. (Steve) Gniadecki, and Jack, James, and George McKay.
Richard graduated from St. Rita High School, attended Loyola University, and later graduated from Chicago Kent Law School. He was a longtime member of the Illinois Bar Association.
Richard was proud of his legal practice, passionately celebrated his Irish heritage, honorably served his country as a Naval Reservist, and with his sister, opened his heart and home to rescue numerous dogs over many years.
His family is grateful to the 3North Care Team at Plymouth Place, Dr. Anthony DeLorenzo, and the amazing private duty Caregivers from Avid Health.

Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Church, Palos Hills. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery.

LORRAINE PANDY
The family of the late Lorraine Goff, also known as Lorraine Pandy, regret to announce her passing. She transitioned to glory on 24 August 2024.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sons Michael Lamb (wife Karen) and Robert Lamb (wife Glennis), Barrington Pandy Sr. (wife Linda), eight grandchildren, sister, Mrs.Corine Gallego and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Mrs. Hortense Dawson, her father, Mr. Christopher Goff and her son Franze Pandy a.k.a. Frankie. She will be interred in Chicago.
JOSE PEREZ ALMARAZ
Jose Perez Almaraz passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was the beloved husband of Lilia Margarita Rios Martinez. Jose will be remembered lovingly by all his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters and friends.
Visitation was held September 5 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). A Service in Celebration of Jose’s life will be held at the funeral home at 6 PM. Per his request Jose will be cremated and buried in Mexico. A distinguished and successful businessman, Jose owned Perez Restaurant in Chicago and El Tequilazo Restaurant in Willowbrook, Illinois.

Hope Rogers who was born on October 14, 1954, passed away August 24, 2024 at the age of 70.
Visitation and service was held August 23 at Szykowny Funeral Home, 4901 S, Archer Ave.; Jonathan Siedlecki, owner-director. Cremation was private.

Linda J. Solan (nee Baker), age 76, formerly of Chicago late of Effingham, IL, passed away August 24, 2024.
Beloved wife of Joseph (retired Lieutenant C.F.D.); loving mother of Joseph (Laura) Solan and the late Michael Solan; loving grandmother of Tiffany (Ion) Edwards, Jesse (Brandon) Duckwitz, Amanda (Drake) Williams, Amanda Pierce, Natalie Solan and Zann Dunn; proud great grandmother of Millie Edwards; dear sister of Robert (Jane) Baker and the late Ronald, late John, and late Edward Baker.
