Chicago Christian is working to find its footing in the inaugural season of the Chicagoland Christian Conference.
The Knights entered this week 6-8 overall and 4-6 in the CCC, putting them in fifth place with just two conference games to play among their final seven regular-season contests.
The Knights have had just one losing season over the past eight seasons.

Christian went 1-3 last week, with two losses to Bishop McNamara (15-0 on April 22 and 20-1 on April 24), and a doubleheader split (1-10, 2-2) with Marian Central Catholic on April 27.
The Knights collected 16 hits and stole eight bases in the victory over the Hurricanes, which snapped a three-game skid.
Third baseman and pitcher Jocelyn Hovanec is one of three senior captains for the Knights. Hovanec collected two hits, scored twice and drove in a run in the win over Marian Central Catholic.
She was effective in the circle as well, allowing one run while striking out 12 batters.
Hovanec came into this week leading the Knights in runs this season with 14.
