Nancy Lee Urban, 69, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed away on Feb. 14, 2025, after battling several serious illnesses.
Born on Aug. 8, 1955, she was the beloved daughter of the late Max and Loretta Kuchan. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Urban.
Nancy worked in the accounting field and had a passion for travel, particularly visiting National Parks, which held a special place in her heart. She cherished time spent exploring the country with George.
She is survived by her sister, Karen (Jim) Rybak, and brother, Kevin (Kim) Kuchan. She was a devoted aunt to Lisa and Ellie Rybak, Shari (Delio) Leon, David Rybak, Amanda (Tyler) Bogusz, and Kevin (Hannah) Kuchan, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a dear sister-in-law to Sue Urban (the late Ron Georges), Delores (Gene) Schilke, Mike Urban and Paula, and Albert (Kathy) Urban. She was also a fond cousin of the late Bob (Cindy) Lembke and the late Rick (Juanita) Hammann.
She will be deeply missed by her dear friends Jerry (Debbie) Krull, Perry (the late Renee) Zataski, lifelong friends Evelyn Heinz and Georgette Hendrickson, and all who knew and loved her. Nancy’s love for animals was evident in the care she gave to her many cats over the years, including Tommy, Pepper, Wiggers, Fawny, Precious, Kiwi, DW, Penny, Taz, Jasper, and Misty.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, Illinois. Interment will be private.
