Carmen Respino

Carmen Respino, 88, of Chicago’s Clearing community, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Respino was the beloved husband of 68 years to his high school sweetheart, Geri (née Roelle). He was the loving father of Janet (John) Wicencyjusz and Diane (Kevin) Augustine; the proud grandfather of John Wicencyjusz, Eric (Dana) Wicencyjusz, Robert (Melissa) Ferguson, and Ashley (Dr. Jason) Evans; and the cherished great-grandfather of Parker, Crew, Joel, Camden, Brielle, Drew, and Chase.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Benny (Margaret) Respino, Tony (Mildred) Respino, August (Antoinette) Respino, and Rosie (Angelo) Farinella. He was the dear brother-in-law of William (Angela) Roelle and the late Laverne Roelle.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, following prayers at Foran Funeral Home.
