
On Tuesday, February 4, the Blue Devils faced the Streator Bulldogs and managed to squeak out a win, 46-39. The game started and finished in much the same manner, as it was a tough game right to the end.
At the half the Blue Devils led 23-17. It stayed close in the second half, with the Blue Devils managing to hold on to a one point scoring advantage, just out scoring the Bulldogs 23-22. With both teams in the Illinois Central Eight Conference, it was a battle for position in the standings.
The Blue Devils were led by Ruben Velasco with 19 points, 8 defensive rebounds, and 4 offensive rebounds. Also contributing was Brandon Weiss, who recorded 9 points, 6 defensive rebounds, and 3 offensive rebounds.
The Blue Devils are 11-12 overall and 4-6 in ICE.
