Donald J. “Don” Murphy, age 62, passed away after a five-year battle with multiple health issues. He was the beloved son of the late Leo A. and the late Lorraine (née Gorecki) Murphy. Don was a loving brother to Jim Murphy and Eileen Murphy, a dear brother-in-law to Cindy Murphy, and a cherished stepson of Gloria Murphy. He was the fond nephew of Bob (late Trudy) Gorecki and the late Richard Gorecki, as well as a devoted uncle to Andrew, Jason, Mike, Andy, William, and Matt.
Don was a dear cousin to Donna Goreci, Carl Goreci, and Christine (Eric) Buchmeier. He shared a special bond with his best friend, his fur baby Diesel. A lifelong friend to Mike Bartkowiak and the late Bob Kocanda, Don will be remembered by many good friends.
A visitation was held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Richard Midway Funeral Home. A funeral service followed on Monday, April 7, 2025, with a procession to St. Faustina Kowalska Church for a Mass. Don was laid to rest privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
