Richard Jandura, a poet from Justice, has released his second book, Poems from Home: Volume 2, now available on various platforms.

The collection, published by Page Publishing, explores themes of love, loss, relationships, and the human condition through heartfelt poems and ruminations. Jandura said his work aims to offer readers a fresh perspective on the world around them.

“My book is dedicated to my wife, Denise, my angel for 25 years; also to my late sister, Jeralyn, my guiding light from heaven; and to my dog, Muffin, my pride and joy,” Jandura said.

“My uncle called me and said he could relate to at least five poems, especially about family. A friend in Florida told me his wife couldn’t put the book down. She got hooked right away.”

Jandura describes the second volume as a “winter setting” with a wide variety of poems. “I think I’m more refined in this second book. The more you write, the better you get at it. I’m pretty satisfied with it. Between the two books, there are about 500 poems.”

Readers have responded enthusiastically to Jandura’s relatable poetry.

“My uncle called me and said he could relate to at least five poems, especially about family,” Jandura said. “A friend in Florida told me his wife couldn’t put the book down. She got hooked right away.”

Jandura’s simple, accessible style resonates with audiences of all ages.

“A guy I went to school with said he couldn’t write one poem and asked how I do it all,” Jandura said. “I replied that my poems are simple and not complicated. They’re for everyone. I’ve had great feedback, even from my wife’s cousin, who was an English major and said she was very impressed.”

Jandura writes primarily on weekends, balancing his craft with full-time work during the week. Some weekends are more productive than others, he said.

Naming his poems comes after the writing process, Jandura said. “I don’t know where they’re going until I finish each one. Then I find a simple line. I keep it simple so people don’t get bored.”

Jandura hopes his work inspires and uplifts readers. “I like making people happy, and I hope they find inspiration in my books. I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to do this,” he said.
