Ruth A. Lee

Ruth A. Lee, a longtime resident of Chicago, passed away at the age of 78. She was born in Amityville, New York.

Lee was the beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Lee and the dear sister of the late John (Ann) Meyer and Madeline (Guy) Chichester. She was a devoted mother to Anthony (Michelle) Petoske, Terence (Jennifer) Petoske, Alisha Petoske, and Shelby Light, and a cherished stepmother to RJ Light, Charlene (Tim) Ertl, and Michelle Sullivan.

She was a loving grandmother to Stephanie Light, Isabelle (Tony) Felkamp, Amber and Justin Ertl, Julian (Octavia) Petoske, Duncan (Emma) Petoske, Joshua, Bruce, and Lincoln Petoske, Maddie McFarthing, Dylan Hammett, and Noah, Melody, and Vinny Mendoza. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Timothy, Marlie, Brody, Auggie, and Marnie.

Lee was a steadfast mother and wife, a devout follower of the Lord, and a dear friend to many. She left behind an everlasting impression of love and was dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation and Homegoing Service were held on Thursday, Jan. 23, at The Moody Church, 1635 N. La Salle Dr., Chicago.
