Cameron I. White, 18, of the 5800 block of South Troy Street, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and vehicular hijacking following an incident in the 5700 block of South Talman Avenue at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 5.
Police said that officers in plainclothes happened to be nearby when White allegedly robbed two men, both aged 28, and drove away in their car.
The officers chased White and took him into custody when he tried to flee on foot.
