Boys

Curie 67, Waukegan 65 (OT): The Condors (8-1) prevailed at Young behind balanced scoring from Brad Johnson Jr. (12 points), Michael Oliver Jr. (11 points), Justin Oliver (11 points) and Rashaad Wilson (11 points).

Marist 57, Brooks 41: The Redhawks improved to 10-1 as Karson Thomas scored 13 points, Adoni Vassilakis added 12, Stephen Brown had nine and Marquis Vance finished with eight.

Oak Lawn 55, Lyons 37: Donte Montgomery scored 21 points, while Marc Harvey had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans (8-2) at Sandburg’s Shot Clock Shootout. Robert Vespa had 11 points and four rebounds for the Lions (4-5), while Marshaun Russell added 10 points and six rebounds. Danny Janiszewski scored seven and Ian Polonowski grabbed five rebounds.

Sandburg 59, St. Charles East 53: The host Eagles (5-5) won at their Shot Clock Shootout as Will Johnson scored 15 points and Jonah Johnson added 13.

Shepard 75, Addison Trail 64: A big game from Jovan Thomas (30 points, 17 rebounds) carried the Astros (4-7) past the Blazers. Freshman Amari Williams also had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds with two blocks, while Aaron Arramgibe added 14 points and three assists for Shepard. Danny McGovern finished with nine points, five assists and two steals.

Timothy Christian 54, Stagg 45: Noah Rhodes scored 14 for the Chargers (0-9) at Sandburg’s Shot Clock Shootout.

Girls

Mother McAuley 49, Cary-Grove 39: Taji Alexa scored 26 points as the Mighty Macs (9-4) won their opener at Libertyville’s Rustoleum Winter Classic.

Oak Lawn 45, TF South 37: The host Spartans (8-5) wrapped up third place in their own holiday tournament as Danielle Dempsey filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals. Jacky Canales scored 11 in the first half, while Riley Krzystof had 10 points.

Sandburg 41, Hinsdale Central 34: Ellie Driscoll’s 18 points paced the host Eagles (5-5) at the Shot Clock Shootout. Monique Nkwogu added nine points, 14 rebounds and six blocks.
