Stagg outlasted Riverside-Brookfield in a marathon first set, winning 36-34, then followed that with a 25-20 clincher on March 23 to finish seventh in the Silver divison at the 20th Marist RedHawks Invitational.
The Chargers went 2-3 in the tournament. They opened pool play on March 22 at the Marist Sportsplex in Palos Heights with a 26-24 win over eventual Gold division runner-up Lockport before dropping next two sets, 22-25, 12-15. They followed that by defeating Richards, 25-21, 25-19.

Providence beat Stagg, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22, to start play on March 23, and Lincoln-Way Central topped the Chargers, in two sets, sending them to the seventh-place game.
In its first match after the tournament, Stagg beat Richards again, 25-20, 25-23, on March 26 in Palos Hills.
