Santiago Chavez of Reavis won the boys division of the South Suburban Conference Mega Meet in boys cross country on Aug. 29 at Conkey Woods in Palos Heights.
Chavez won with a time of 15:55.6 in the 3-mile race.
James O’Shea of Richards was runner-up with a time of 15:583.
Also in the top 10 were Elijah Bywaterof of Shepard (fourth), Abraham Medina of Reavis, (fifth) Leonardo Barajas of Reavis (sixth), Angel Ramirez if Richards (eighth), Angelo Esparza of Argo (ninth) andAlex Guzman of Shepard (10th).
Richards won the event with 69 points. Tinley Park was second with 101.
In the girls race, Molly Sheridan of Oak Lawn took third with a time of 20:30.85. Delyanna Arocho of Reavis took fifth while Kayla Coulter of Shepard was ninth and the Astros’ Emma Dominguez was 10th.
Lemont dominated the meet with 22 points. Shepard was second with 65.
