Wife of late Robert A. Cambpell; daughter of late Peter Obrzut and late Frances (Kluk); sister of late Joseph (late Berwicr) Pietryka, late Walter Pietryka and late John Pietryka; sister-in-law of Eleanor (late John) Campbell; aunt and great aunt to many. Best friend of Stella Jeziorny.

Peggy Dehoyos (nee Protosevich), age 65, passed away May 7, after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Beloved wife of Kurt for 44 years; loving mother of Wesley (Angela) and Marissa (Alex) St. Clair; cherished grandmother of Nolan and Camden; dear sister of Carol (Jim) Hurckes, Terry (late Phil) Gondek and Paul (Jackie) Protosevich. Favorite nan and fond aunt to many. Dear daughter of the late Mike and the late Marcella (nee Deeman) Protosevich. Peggy was an affectionate dog lover to all of her fur babies.

ALDA MAE WISE DOUGHERTY
Alda Mae Wise Dougherty (nee Mares), age 62, of Plainfield, passed away April 23 at home. She was born on September 25, 1961.
She is survived by her loving husband James Dougherty and adoring children Nicole Heyman (Chris) and Ryan Dougherty. She is also survived by her mother Patricia Joy Tatman and her father Richard H. Mares. Also surviving are her adoring grandchildren Ruari and Saoirse Heyman, along with numerous in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Her legion of close friends is infinite but heartbroken as well. She was born in LaPlata, MD to the late James McArthur Wise and Patricia Joy (Tatman) Wise and she adored her grandmother for whom she was named: Alda Mae (Woods) Tatman. Alda was outgoing, funny, and engaging. She loved her family deeply, showing it at every opportunity. She was also the cog that held together the wheel of friendships forged over her lifetime. She was energized by travel especially to beach destinations in the Caribbean as well as memorable recent trips to Italy and Ireland. She will be greatly missed by all. Alda worked at various companies over her advancing career, forging deep friendships at each that remained long after she left, including AT&T, May & Speh, Metromail, Allant, and Metlife.
A Celebration of Life gathering for her many friends and family was held May 18 at Crosswinds Church, 14360 Rt 59, Plainfield. We are saddened to announce the passing of Joseph Gerard Halerz, age 63 on May 7.
He was the beloved brother of Barbara (Chuck) Rummel and John Retired C.P.D. (Marcia) Halerz; dear uncle of Chuck (Amanda) Rummel, John (Alexandra) Halerz and Sarah (Jason) Rafa; loved great uncle to Abigail, Katherine and Kieran Rummel and Harrison and Everett Rafa and Penelope Griffin Halerz; dear nephew of Virginia Holy. He was preceded in death by his parents Adam S. and Dorothy B. (nee Leja) Halerz and many aunts and uncles. Joseph will be missed by his longtime friend, Jane Kerr, his many cousins and his many caring friends at UCP/Seguin.

RAYMOND M. JAUREGUI
Raymond M. Jauregui, age 87, of Oak Lawn passed away April 26 at Palos Hospital. U.S. Army veteran.
Born in Chicago to Joseph Jauregui and Mary Zanich Jauregui. Raymond served his country in the U.S. Army and returned to the Chicago area after being Honorably Discharged. Raymond pursued a successful career in finance and retired from Northern Trust Bank as a Vice President. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Tina (Bougis) and a proud father of his daughter, Donna Jauregui Zloza. Raymond is survived by his wife, daughter, grandchildren Zach, Alex, Sam, Josephine and several beloved nieces and nephews. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard and his sister, Maryann Cook.

BETTY ANN LATOZA
Betty Ann Latoza, age 89, of New Lenox, and formerly of Chicago, West Lawn community, passed away May 4.
Betty is survived by her loving children: Ann Marie (Fred) Nagel and John J. (Julie) Latoza; cherished grandchildren: Elizabeth (Fiancé Trevor Hetzer) Manning, Jenifer C. Latoza and Joseph J. (girlfriend Pennie) Latoza. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruno R. Latoza and sisters: Bernice Laburda and Dolores Cardella.
Betty was a friend and caring person who helped many and will be missed by many more. She’d help anyone in need but would never ask for anything in return. She’d always make people laugh while going out of her way to help others.
Betty was born in 1934 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was raised in an orphanage while she cared for the elderly. Betty was devoted to the Catholic religion and later became a Catholic Nun. Betty was an amazing seamstress and created wedding dresses and full bridal party attire without a pattern. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Lady.
ALFRED EMIL LAVE
Alfred Emil Lave, husband to Lillian Lena (nee Lind) (1936 – 1992) from 1957 to 1992 and Shirley Jean (nee Theres) 1994 – 2024, son of Edward Lave and Ludmilla (nee Bily) and brother to Edward, Richard and Harold, has passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 21, at the home of David and Clidea Lave in Waterman, Illinois. He and Lillian had six children together: Catherine (Joel) Cmiel, Cheryl (Tom) Juarez, Steven (Lisa), David (Clidea), Diane Litz, and Susan (Bill) Redis.
His parents and grandparents were born and raised in Chicago’s southwest side Garfield Ridge neighborhoods, near Midway airport, where he also lived with Lillian and raised their 6 children. After Lillian’s passing in 1992, Alfred married Shirley in 1994 and shortly after, they moved to Mesa, Arizona, then to DeKalb, Illinois and finally to Valparaiso, Indiana. Alfred is survived by his 6 children, 16 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his wife Shirley. He will be missed.
