Home has not been that sweet lately for the Chicago Red Stars.
The team lost its second straight game at SeatGeek Stadium with a 2-0 setback to Portland in front of an announced crowd of 4,443 on April 27.
Portland star Sophia Smith scored in the 10th and 26th minutes, then added a would-be third goal in the second half nullified when officials ruled a handball violation after a video review.

But if you give her a space and time, most likely she is going to finish it.
“That’s her job and she does it very well.”
The Red Stars lost a 1-0 decision to Angel City at home on April 13 and are 1-2 at SeatGeek. They have scored only two goals in three games this season in Bridgeview. Portland improved to 2-3-1.
This was a first game in an eight-day stretch for the Red Stars (3-2-1). They were scheduled to host Washington on May 1 and visit Bay FC on May 5.
