Doug Richer, age 46, a proud Marine veteran and resident of Worth, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was the beloved husband of Jamie Taft and a devoted father to Noah, Ashleigh, and Corey. Doug was the cherished son of Patricia and Fred Wilken and the dear grandson of Ronald (the late Sharon) Murray and Margaret (the late Bill) Tranchida. He was a loving brother to Julie (Adam) Morek, Raquel Bulla, and Danielle (Brett) Curtiss, and a treasured uncle to Cayden, Adalynn, and many more. He was also the dear son-in-law of John and Debra Taft and a caring brother-in-law to Steven Taft.
Doug had a deep love for his family, friends, and his loyal dogs—Charlie, Nova, Star, and KC. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m.
