Jose Garcia, a longtime resident of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the age of 73.
He was the beloved husband of Juana Sanchez and the loving father of Nereida (Gus) Garcia, Orlando (Guadalupe) Garcia, and Alejandro Garcia. He was a cherished grandfather to Bryanna, Ibrahim, Max, Diego, and Micaela, and a proud great-grandfather to Amara. Jose will also be fondly remembered by his many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in his honor on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Snows Church. Family and friends later gathered for a visitation in celebration of Jose’s life at Foran Funeral Home.
