Monee Police Blotter: February 12-27

On February 12, at 5:14 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Jorge Aguilar, 32, of Cicero. Aguilar was charged with driving with expired license plates and driving without a valid license. He was released via his citations.

On February 16, at 2:06 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Elijah Winters, 20, of Calumet City. Winters was charged with speeding over the statutory limit and driving while his license was suspended. He was released with a notice-to-appear via his citations.

On February 18, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Monee Officers observed a vehicle known to them to be stolen. After confirming they had the correct vehicle, a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Olushola Salami, 27, of Homewood. Salami was charged with felony theft of services or use of property and trespass to a vehicle. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for further processing.

On February 21, at 10:52 a.m., Monee Officers took a report for the theft of a catalytic converter. Officers were told a resident had their motorhome parked in the Devon Self Storage facility at 25970 S. Governors Highway. The resident went to the facility to start the engine on the motorhome and discovered his catalytic converter was missing. The case was turned over to Monee Investigations for follow-up.

On February 23, at approximately 5:21 a.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Antonio Hately, 35, of Monee. Hately was charged with operating a motor vehicle while his registration was suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, and driving while his license was suspended. He was released via his citations.

On February 24, at approximately 5:21 a.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Eltonze Pace, 20, of Beecher. Pace was charged with improper passing on the left, being unsafe in oncoming traffic, driving/never being issued a license, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released via his citations.
