Tranquilino Paz, 18, of the 3800 block of West 83rd Place, was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon by someone under 21, police said.
Officers investigating suspicious activity found Paz hiding under a porch with a loaded handgun in the 3300 block of West 63rd Place at 9:07 p.m. on Feb. 1, authorities said. He was among a group of young men who ran from officers, according to police.
Paz was also charged with possession of a high-capacity magazine and metal-piercing bullets, all without a firearm owner’s identification card.
