Julia Granados (née Chuey) passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.
She was the beloved wife of Ignacio Granados and the loving mother of Elizabeth (Raul) Perez. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Julia Amalia Perez.
Julia was the dear sister of Jorge (Florida) Chuey and the late Rafael Chuey. She was preceded in death by her other siblings, Francisca, Maria Louisa, Aurelia, Juan, Antonio and Manuel. She was also a dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 15, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home in Chicago. A second visitation took place Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until prayers at 11 a.m. A funeral Mass followed at 11:30 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish.
Julia was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
