
The Lady Panthers came out with fire in their eyes on Monday, February 3, against the Streator Bulldogs. Manteno had a commanding 17-7 lead by the end of the first quarter, and there was no stopping them. At the half, with another commanding quarter in the books, the Panthers posted a 39-15 advantage. The second half was much the same, as the Lady Panthers out-scored the Lady Bulldogs 29-17 and took the win, 68-32.
Manteno was led by Maddie Gesky with 14 points, 7 offensive rebounds, and 5 defensive rebounds. Also scoring were Macy Iwanus, with 11 points, including going 3-for-6 from 3-point range, along with 4 steals, plus Emily Horath, also with 11 points, 5 offensive rebounds, and 7 defensive rebounds.
The Lady Panthers currently are 21-4 overall and 11-1 in ICE.
