More than $2,000 was raised for veterans displaced in the California wildfires in a Kankakee County Legion “pub crawl.”
Legion District Commander Cory Norton, who also doubles as commander of the Bradley post, organized three party buses that left from each of their respective legions to visit the other two legions for an afternoon of food, raffles, and entertainment.
The other legions and groups involved included: Bradley American Legion Post 766; Manteno American Legion Post 755, Auxiliary, Sons of American Legion, Legion Riders; Aroma Park Legion Post 1019, Greg Dyer, Hound Dog Tattoo, The Silo Pub and Eatery, Larry Lacost Jr., D. Westphal Jewelers, Inc., Ryan’s Pier, Brian Shartzer, Vaughn Music, Louis and Dave, Project Headspace and Timing, in addition to many others who gave their support and donations. Organizers would like to make this an annual event.
